Contracts Matter

Contracts Matter is an independent skills and employability contract supply chain overseen by a steering group of third sector representatives and hosted by Acumen Development Trust on their behalf. Contracts Matter is a means for VCS organisations to work together to bid for, win and deliver skills and employability contracts, and also a means for the public and private sectors to engage with the third sector.

The role of the Skills and Employability Supply Chain is:

- to encourage third sector organisations to bid collaboratively for contracts

- to co-ordinate a range of services to help members to improve their services

- to identify contract/funding opportunities and inform members

- to co-ordinate contracting opportunities and multi-sector partnerships

Any third sector organisation based in the North East that is interested in or currently delivers skills and employability services can become members of the Skills and Employability Contract Supply Chain.

Members will benefit from:

- increased access to potential funding

- facilitation of partnership workin

- greater knowledge on how to develop the 'right' partnerships

- increased exposure to North East based delivery and funding organisations

- access to a directory of members/provisions/services/information
