WRAP and REalliance seek organisations to take part in programme

The Third Sector Capacity Building Programme is run by WRAP and REalliance to help community organisations and social enterprises reach their full potential and in doing so to help the communities they serve and have a positive effect on the environment.

The programme is open to organisations operating in England and can provide support in a number of ways.  The programme provides direct support to organisations where one of the WRAP/REalliance team works alongside organisations for a few days helping to review, develop or implement plans.  For changes likely to have a larger impact, the programme can provide consultancy support (providing technical advice or management expertise) or fund an “interim manager” - someone to work within your organisation over a number of months to bring about the changes you want.

So far the programme has helped around a hundred organisations, large and small.  The types of support the programme has given include:

The support is tailored for each organisation to help it meet the challenges it faces. The programme assigns a case manager who helps organisations develop ideas for support, guiding them through the application process, overseeing the support provided and providing any ongoing support.

For more information about the programme, please visit the REalliance website where case studies highlighting some of the support the programme has given so far are available.

If you would like to find out more about how the programme can support your organisation, please call REalliance on 0117 907 1727 or email: info@realliance.org.uk

The programme also supports the development of new market opportunities for the sector as a whole and new ways for several organisations to provide services together.  If you have ideas for projects in either of these areas, please contact REalliance to talk them through.

What is REalliance?

REalliance is a joint venture between the four main community resource and recycling networks in England – CCN, CRN UK, LCRN and FRN. REalliance works to represent the sector and to work on your behalf.

REalliance CIC provides development support, representation, guidance and information for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations working to manage resources sustainably.
