Winners of the Co-operative Awards 2010 announced
The winners of the second annual Co-operative Wards have been announced.
The Awards were introduced last year to celebrate excellence across Britain's co-operative movements. This years Awards were presented at Co-operatives 2010 - the flagship event of the Co-operatives Fortnight.
Winners included Chelmsford Star, Delta-T Services, The Handmade Bakery, whomadeyourpants? and Winyates Co-operative.
The North East co-operative sector was also recognised at the event with Newcastle based Shared Interest, the ethical investment co-operative, receiving an Award.
Shared Interest aims to reduce poverty by lending money to fair trade enterprises in the developing world, and annually lends £33 million across 36 countries.
