The Social Enteprise Mark Company is offering potential Mark holders a fantastic opportunity – become a Mark holder and win £1,000 worth of free advertising for your social enterprise.
Social enterprises that submit an application for the Mark before Friday 14 May 2010 could be one of three new Mark holders to win this fantastic prize.
Three new Mark holders will be picked at random and will then get the chance to design and advert in conjunction with the Social Enterprise Mark Company to feature in a publication of the winners choice – the value of which will be up to £1,000.
To successfully apply for the Social Enterprise Mark your organisation must:
- Have social and/or environmental aims
- Have its own constitution and governing body
- Spend at least 50% of its profits on socially beneficial purposes
- Earn at least 50% of its income from trading
- Demonstrate that its social/environmental aims are being met
- Ensure that if the organisation ceased trading the remaining assets would be distributed for social/environmental purposes
