Third Sector Minister to debate with opposition over future of Social Enterprise

Minister of State for the Third Sector, Angela Smith, is set to go head-to-head in a public debate with fellow MP's Nick Hurd of the Conservative Party and Jenny Willott of the Liberal Democrat Party over the future of social enterprise.

The debate, organised by Social Enterprise London (SEL), will focus on the impact the forthcoming election will have on social enterprise and will give all three parties the opportunity to outline their views on the issues surrounding social enterprise.

The debate will take place after the SEL AGM and attendees will have the opportunity to directly question the candidates. The debate panel, chaired by SEL Chief Executive Alison Ogden-Newton, will comprise of some of the most successful and high profile social enterprise leaders in London including June O'Sullivan, Chief Executive of social enterprise London Early Years Foundation, who will present the social enterprise movement's hopes for government action following the election.
