SCNEI create Brighter Futures Together Toolkit
The Sustainable Communities North East Initiative (SCNEI) has created a new toolkit aimed at helping community groups across the North East to make their communities sustainable. The Brighter Futures Together Toolkit is a free and user-friendly website that provides practical information and advice on improving local communities.
The Toolkit features a number of worksheets that suggest actions for sustainability with topics as wide-ranging as renewable energy, creating healthier communities and sustainable community buildings. The Toolkit also includes worksheets that provide general information on the following areas:
- Fundraising and writing successful bids - donated by Funding Information North East, this worksheet features tips on planning ahead and drawing up budgets.
- Project Planning - with expert advice from SkillShare North East, this worksheet includes information on setting goals and targets and monitoring results.
- Communicating ideas and information - a worksheet created by the Media Trust that explores topics such as achieving media coverage and using digital media.
