Round three of the Third Sector Capacity Fund now open
The third round of the Third Sector Capacity Fund is now open to expressions of interest with funding from £25,000 to £150,000 available to third sector organisations seeking to finance projects in the following areas of activity: financial exclusion, mergers and formal collaborations and equality of economic opportunity. The fund is designed to enable third sector organisations to engage in sustainable economic activities which support the aims of the North East Regional Economic Strategy. The overall aims of the Fund is to:
- Build the capacity of third sector organisations to enable them to contribute strategically to economic developement
- Demonstrate the contribution of the third sector to sustainable economic development
- Develop and expand activities that enable third sector organisations to achieve more financial and organisational stability
Applicants must adhere to the following criteria:
- The project must clearly align with and contribute to the objectives of the Regional Economic Strategy
- The project must support wider third sector engagement in economic regeneration
- The application must be for revenue funding
- The application must be for a new activity, the piloting of a new project or a time-limited activity that has the potential to become mainstreamed
Expressions of interest must be received by Thursday 11 February.
