Rethink Petition - Pledge your Support to mental health
Rethink, the leading national mental health membership charity, has created a petition to run alongside the 2010 Election calling for the new Parliament to act to improve conditions for people affected by mental illness.
Rethink wishes to ensure that new members of Parliament are aware that 1 in 4 people will experience problems with mental health at some point in their lives, and want to raise awareness of issues surrounding mental health.
By signing the Rethink petition, titled "I care about mental health, and I want a government that cares too", you will pledge your support to the following causes :
- Tackling stigma and discrimination
- Better access to treatment
- A fairer criminal justice system
Rethink is aiming to collect 10,00 signatures to take to Downing Street as soon as the election results are announced.
Rethink currently has over 3,000 signatues - pledge your support today and help Rethink reach its target.
