WATBus Community Transport charity are pleased to announce that Colin Hall has been appointed cycle development officer for the new WATBike department.

Manager Lynn McIntosh said ''Following recent funding from Coalfields & AONB we are delighted to be able to employ Colin full time for  6 months, to develop our new cycle routes and new cycle transport service in Northumberland. Colin brings many years experience in business and charity development. He is also a keen cyclist and has worked as a volunteer for WATBus and SUSTRANS as a ranger guide.''

Colin replied ''This is a great opportunity to help develop WATBike and share my passion for cycling.  We hope to get more people on their bikes as it's a great way to discover fantastic parts of Northumberland. We have already developed 14 different routes from beginners to experienced & discovered many hidden gems. We use a 17 seat minibus with a 20 bike trailer & have 10 Guided rides planned starting on Sunday 23nd May leaving from Blyth & Ashington. Anyone interested should contact us asap.''
