NESEP joins Twitter
This month, the North East Social Enterprise Partnership joined Twitter, the social networking site that allows users to post short, timely bits of information.
Twitter is a useful way to quickly share information with like-minded people. Twitter account holders ('tweeters' or 'twitterers' as they are colloquially known) can 'follow' fellow users, receiving information around a shared interest or topic.
Through Twitter, we aim to extend the North East Social Enterprise Partnership's reach to as many as possible, both regionally and nationally, and across all sectors. We will use Twitter to highlight relevant news and events to organisations based in the North East, and also to promote the successes of our region's social enterprises to a national audience.
Visit the North East Social Enterprise Partnership's Twitter page to view our latest 'tweets'.
Get useful information relevant to your organisation by entering #socent (social enterprises' 'hashtag' - a format that categorises users tweets by keywords) in the Twitter search facility.
Visit the Twitter website for a guide on how to start using Twitter.
A useful list of top tips for joining and using Twitter can also be found on the Media Trust website.
