Last chance to enter Social Vision, the national photography competition
Social enterprises in the North East have just one week left to enter 'Social Vision: business at its best', the national photography competition that seeks images that capture the unique and beneficial work of social enterprise.
The competition, now in its third year, is for the first time being jointly run by Triodos Bank and the Social Enterprise Coalition, in association with Social Enterprise magazine.
'Social Vision: business at its best' seeks images that demonstrate social enterprises' passion and positive work. While a number of North East social enterprises have already submitted photos, we ate NESEP want to encourage more organisations to do so to highlight the important work our enterprises in the North East are doing. The competition is an excellent opportunity to promote your activities to a national audience and gain recognition for social enterprise in our region.
Regional heats will take place on each English region and in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland before regional finalists compete to win the overall prize, decided by an online public vote. All shortlisted photos will be on display in a public gallery in London and will appear in a 2011 photographic calendar.
The winning photographer will receive a cash prize of £750, as will the social enterprise featured in the winning photograph. The winning social enterprise will in addition receive one year's free membership to the Social Enterprise Coalition, an entry ticket for two to the Voice 11 national conference, one year's subscription to Social Enterprise magazine, and £1000 worth of print advertising in the magazine.
To enter 'Social Vision: business at its best' email socialvision@triodos.co.uk for an application form. Visit the Triodos website for a full list of competition rules.
The competition closes on Friday 1 October 2010 at 5:00pm.
Regional finalists will be announced on Social Enterprise Day, Thursday 18 November 2010.
