It’s time to meet your local social enterprise
To celebrate Social Enterprise Day 2010 (Thursday 18 November), the Social Enterprise Coalition is co-ordinating a campaign, ‘It’s time to meet your local social enterprise’, to raise awareness and understanding of social enterprise in communities across the country. The campaign aims to boost the profile of the social enterprise sector and build support for social enterprise locally among important audiences such as the general public and politicians.
While knowledge of the social enterprise sector is spreading, lots of people are still unaware of what social enterprise actually is. Social Enterprise Day 2010 is a great opportunity to showcase the work that social enterprises are doing across the country. The Social Enterprise Coalition have created a campaign pack that can help your social enterprise get noticed this Social Enterprise Day.
The campaign pack includes a number of ideas on how to get involved on Social Enterprise Day 2010, including:
- A list of activity ideas for your social enterprise
- Advice on getting publicity, promotional materials, event planning
- A template letter at ask a local MP to visit your social enterprise
- A template letter for arranging a meeting with a local MP, for example
- A template press release that can be tailored to your enterprise and news item
- A Social Enterprise Day 2010 logo
