Have your say on City Region Transport issues

The Pentagon Partnership is looking for organisations from Tyne and Wear, North Durham and South Northumberland to join the Third Sector Transport Focus Group to provide a third sector viewpoint to the Tyne and Wear City Region Partnership. If you are a community transport operator, advocate for better transport or simply have an interest in transport issues, this is your chance to influence the City Region agenda.

The City Region Partnership is made up of local authorities, other public bodies and representatives from the private and third sectors, and is responsible for implementing the MAA (Multi-Area Agreement) which focuses on strategies of employment, skills and transport as a means to achieving a more competetive and economically inclusive City Region. The Third Sector Transport Focus Group will sit alongside a Third Sector Employment and Skills Focus Group and will provide third sector representation on relevant City Region boards and advisory groups. The focus group will meet approximately 4-5 times a year beginning in January 2010.

If you wish to join the focus group please email Jon Goodwin at jon.goodwin@pentagonpartnership.org.uk with a summary of your organisation and its work in transport provision or advocacy.
