FREE Procurement Fact file: Everything the Voluntary and Community Sector needs
Pentagon Partnership and North Tyneside VODA are proud to announce the publication of a new Procurement Fact file, produced on behalf of the lottery-funded Sustainable Solutions North East partnership.
The fact file is a ‘beginner’s guide’ to procurement, commissioning and tendering, and a starting point for organisations interested in this area. It is intended to complement some of the more in-depth provision delivered as part of Sustainable Solutions North East, which you can find out about in the fact file or at www.ssne.org.uk.
The fact file comprises the following chapters:
- The National Perspective - A foreword from Oliver Reichardt, Head of Partnerships and Public Services at NCVO
- Procurement: Is It For You? - An overview of procurement, and why it matters for the voluntary sector
- Definitions - Some of the key terms you might hear when discussing procurement and commissioning
- The Process - How it works
- A Local Perspective: Learning to love the procurement process - By Peter Faill, Durham County Council
- A Third Sector View - By Simon Davidson, Community Ventures Ltd
- Top Ten Tips for Tendering - Our advice for getting it right
- Support from SSNE: How can we help? - This fact file is just one aspect of a range of provision delivered by partners in the Sustainable Solutions North East project. Find out what other support is available.
- Useful Resources - A range of support and information from NCVO, ACEVO and elsewhere
The factfile is free to third sector organisations based in the North East. To order your FREE copy of the fact file, please email info@pentagonpartnership.org.uk, including a postal address for your organisation.
