Beacon Fellowship Charitable Trust Awards 2010
The Beacon Fellowship is a charitable organisation formed with the aim of encouraging individuals to contribute to charitable and social causes and to celebrate and promote best practice in giving.
Each year the Beacon Fellowship awards prizes to individuals who have made notable contributions to charitable and social causes that have benefited the public. By highlighting the contributions of such individuals, the Beacon Fellowship hopes to inspire others to do the same.
The Beacon Fellowship is urging people to nominate individuals who have made a significant philanthropic contribution in time, money or skills to a specific cause. There are awards in seven categories and an additional overall prize. The seven categories are as follows:
- Community Builder
- Leadership
- New Initiatives
- Young Philanthropist/Activist
- Effective Giving
- Family Business Philanthropist
- Philanthropy Advocate
The winners in each category will be invited to a gala event in London where the overall winner will be awarded with £30,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
