Access up to 5 days of free tailored procurement mentoring support
As part of the North East Social Enterprise Partnership’s BIG Lottery funded Procurement and Commissioning Project (NE2), third sector organisations and social enterprises from across the North East can access up 5 days of completely free and confidential, tailored one-to-one mentoring support to guide them through the tendering process.
The one-to-one mentoring, delivered by procurement experts Community Ventures Ltd (CVL), is aimed at North East based organisations which are currently, or intend to, tender for public sector contracts whether on a regional, sub-regional or region-wide scale. The support can benefit organisations that have prior experience of tendering or those entering the tendering arena for the first time.
An experienced mentor from CVL will provide support and advice on procurement issues such as:
- developing the policies and, procedures and documentation required in the tendering process
- developing partnership and collaborating with other organisations
- identifying potential tenders
- writing tender applications
- fulfilling contractual obligations
- using feedback from commissioners and procurers to be more effective in future applications
- achieving changes in organisation culture
Participating organisations will gain the confidence and skills to tender independently and successfully engage in public sector procurement.
To find out how to apply for free, one-to-one mentoring support please contact Helen Armitage at the North East Social Enterprise Partnership on 0191 427 2150 or email harmitage@nesep.co.uk.
