Risky Business? The third sector, public service delivery and risk
Tuesday 14th February 2012 9.45am – 3.00pm Newcastle University Business School, 5 Barrack Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4SE
There is an increasing focus on public service delivery, procurement and commissioning as means by which the third sector can sustain itself.
However, it does not come without risk – to third sector organisations as well as to the commissioners who are purchasing services from the sector.
This special event aims to unpack some of the key issues around managing and mitigating risk and outline some of the support available from Sustainable Solutions North East partners and others.
Topics will include the following:
- Public service delivery – what are the risks?
- Risk - what do commissioners think?
- Managing cashflow and budgets
- Employment issues
- Managing risk – ensuring your policies and procedures are up to date What support is available?
