NETS(work) launch event
NETS(work), the North East Third Sector Disability Providers Network, aims to link organisations from across the North East that provide services and work with people with learning disabilities and to raise awareness of learning disabilities.
NETS(work) will launch itself in a free event hosted by VONNE (Voluntary Organisations Network North East) that will bring together learning disability providers to identify key issues, begin to collaborate in order to influence and shape policy in the North East, and network with fellow providers.
A key theme of the event will be personalisation and the issue of how support providers can adapt collaboratively to the impact of individualised budgets will be explored. Speakers from In Control and the North East Valuing People Now Programme board will be present to share their knowledge.
